No, Nick, he's right. It's been empirically proven that 1932, 1980 and 2008 were the only years in our country's history where the people experienced fear and inner questioning. Shockingly, they're also the only years that everyone in our country experienced a change in mind-set. Here's where it gets weird though: if you add the numbers 1932, 1980 and 2008, and then subtract by 5007, you get: 911! How didn't we see this sooner?

(A) You really, really, really need to watch The West Wing.

(B) Come now, did you ever really fear for Mrs. Peel's life?

(C) I will gladly defend Gilmore Girls any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

(D) From now on, I will ignore any mention of the unnamed server of food and drink.

(E) Less than half of those listed in this post are blonde.

(F) Alex Cabot > Serena Southerlyn. In fact, Alex Cabot > Abbie Carmichael > Claire Kinkaid > Alexandra Borgia > Connie Rubirosa > Jamie Ross > Serena Southerlyn. Okay, maybe Southerlyn > Ross. Maybe. (Good joke about Abbie being liberal, though.)

Sir, you have outdone yourself. A few observations, if you will so allow:

Your entire first section can be stricken from my list, because I've never seen any of the shows to which you refer.

Likewise, your entire second section can be stricken because I believe it to be a sound precept of dating judgment that one should never, under any circumstances, date a spy. The fundamental tenet of any good relationship is trust. Trust built through strong communication. Both trust and communication would be impossible in any spy-dating-relationship because of the restrictions inherent in her work. Plus, she's bound to be working with handsome, intelligent, dangerous and otherwise perfect male coworkers. You want to compete with that? No thanks.

I will also strike the Gilmore Girls because their characters are abhorrent. If I wanted to never get a word in edgewise again for the rest of my life, I'd sooner date Brescia. At least he's relatively interesting.

I'll note as well that you misspelled "the Waitress" in your Not Without My Daughter category. Dreadful typo there, sir.

This leaves the two legit categories. I won't go into detail w/each member, but a few highlights and general observations are due. First, you need to break your blond addiction. Life is so much better when you recognize the undeniable truth of brunette superiority. In fact, you note that the most attractive woman on the list is Marta (shame on me for forgetting her for my list, my God what a mistake), who is, indeed, a brunette. Second, let's not date any witches. First of all, I'd be afraid to ever get into a fight with them - and fights are an inevitable part of any relationship. She could turn you into a jack-in-the-box...then what would you do? No power at all is no way to be in a relationship. Second, witches are by definition demons - practitioners of the dark arts. I think that's sort of problematic in terms of dating. And Alexandra Cabot? Really? If you're going to go with a blond, lesbian Law and Order attorney, at least have the good sense to choose Serena Southerland (Elisabeth Rohm) - though may I suggest Angie Harmon's character instead (might be a tad liberal for your liking, though).

There are some fine choices here and I eagerly await the final cut.
And yeah, I know it's like almost 4am...I'm up studying Corporations, but this is way more interesting.

OK, first of all to answer your question about the Waitress: "but top ten?"
http://www.lataco.com/taco/wp-content/uploads/1388.jpg
Top-effing-ten. Game, set, and match.

Excellent Squid and Whale quote, and yes, generally, I'd agree that it would be important to talk about films and things. Rita held her own pretty well, though.

Had I been able to pick Rose as a young girl in St. Olaf, I might have legitimately added her into my top 10. Because Betty White is awesome.

And as for Mel, exactly. Though, she is more attractive than Anne.
